Documentation on the assault of Willemstad
by the Venezuelan General Rafael Simón Urbina on the 28th of June,
1929.
Several hostages, amongst whom, Governor
L.A. Fruytier were taken by ship to Venezuela, where Urbina had hoped to
overthrow the Government. His attempt failed and he himself was taken prisoner.
The hostages were returned to Curaçao!
